Japan's Steel Exports In April increased 18.1%

In April, Japanese steel exports amounted to 3.61 million tons, an increase of 18.1%, but the ring than in March decreased 10.6%. It is reported that in April the Japanese steel exports to China increased by 7.2%, reaching 564,000 tons, but exports to other major markets have declined. Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea, and other new industrial economies chain exports decreased by 12.7% to 1.1 million tons of ASEAN exports decreased by 13.1% to 1.12 million tons. Meanwhile, Japan's steel imports in April decreased by 2.3% year on year, reaching 59.6729 million tons, which came from the new industrial economies shipments increased by 0.7% to 37.9266 million tons.
