equal steel angles

Equal steel angles are carbon structural steel with simple section steel and equal both sides. According to different need of angle bar structure, it can be composed of various force support elements and it also can do the connecting piece between constructional elements. It is widely applied in various building structure and engineering structure, such as beam, bridges, transmission tower, lifting transportation machinery, ship, industrial furnace, reaction tower, container frame and warehouse shelves, frame of plant etc.



The raw material steel billet of angles is low carbon steel billet; finished angle bar is hot forming, normalizing or hot rolling state delivery. The rolling angle iron need to have good weldability, plastic deformation properties and mechanical strength during the application.

The specifications of equal steel angle is showed by length and the size of edge thickness. At present, domestic angle specification is 2-20 numbers, the same number angle always have 2-7 kinds of different edge thickness. Generally, the length is more than 12.5cm for large steel angle, 12.5-5cm is the medium angle steel; the length is less than 5cm for small angle steel. The order goods specification of imports and exports angles is usually priority to the using requirements.

Chemical Properties:
Component index: the chemical composition of steel angle is the general structure rolled steel series; main validation index is for C, Mn, P, S. Depending on various grades, the chemical content is various, range is about C<0.22%, Mn:0.30—0.65%, P<0.060%, S<0.060%.

Inspection methods: the common standard method has GB223, JISG1211—1215, BS1837 etc.
